Description

As the Director of Sales at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, you will be tasked with proactively seeking new accounts while nurturing and enhancing relationships with our current clientele. Your responsibilities will include devising and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy, with a focus on maximizing revenue from group bookings, business travel arrangements, and catering services. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the performance and productivity of our sales team.

What will you be doing?

  • Prospect and develop accounts through diverse communication channels.
  • Conduct hotel inspections, entertain clients, and ensure thorough follow-up.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and events for enhanced visibility.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals, contracts, and presentations.
  • Supervise staff, assist in training, and set performance goals.
  • Coordinate event details, ensure guest satisfaction, and oversee setups.
  • Provide regular reports, attend meetings, and handle additional responsibilities as required.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of Sales Leadership experience required, Senior Sales experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in computer usage (Microsoft Word, Excel, Envision) and basic math.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel for outside sales calls with reliable transportation.
  • Flexibility: Adaptable schedule to meet hotel business needs; able to work independently.
