To assist the banquet department with the coordination and service delivery of food and beverage experiences to our guests.

1. Set up tables with china, silverware, and other service equipment in accordance with Event Order (EO) and break down assigned banquet rooms according to manager's instructions.
2. Maintain standards of quality and service according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards.
3. Prepare work areas such as coffee stations, bread stations prior to function.
4. Service of food and beverages according to Marcus Hotels and Resorts and Marriott standards.
5. Handle guest requests or coordinate additional assistance from supervisor or manager.
6. Communicate frequently with captains, supervisors and managers.
7. Maintain condition and cleanliness of banquet rooms, public areas, and storage areas.
8. Maintain inventory of necessary supplies.
9. Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by responding and completing all requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.  
10. Follow all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, Marriott Standards, and Information Protection procedures.
11. Attend all scheduled mandatory Banquet Department meetings, trainings and hotel meetings.
12. Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested and/or assigned.

1. High School Diploma preferred. 
2. No experience required.  Prior hospitality/customer service experience preferred.
3. Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently.
5. Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up preferred. 
3. Dependable and reliable to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation with flexibility to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure. 
4. Attention to detail.
5. Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.  This involves listening to the nature of concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
6. Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills to include the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language.
7. Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 30 lbs. 
8. Ability to stand and move throughout continuously to perform essential job functions.
9. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
10. Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
