We are currently seeking an HR Manager to come be a part of an enriching environment where every associate is valued and encouraged to grow.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for supporting the HR function to deliver a “Best in Class” employment experience for our associates. This role is essential to managing employment data efficiently and effectively, administering front-line onboarding and ongoing training, while overseeing all employee/labor relations, application of policies, statute and law, as necessary.

 

What you will be doing:

•Work closely with General Manager in implementing, achieving and maintaining the hotel’s goals and objectives.

•Responsible for recruitment and staffing including the active and timely sourcing of candidates, maintenance of job postings, extending of offers and onboarding through our ATS (Taleo).

•Partner with hotel General Manager and operations team in support of coaching, counseling and disciplinary needs.

•Partner with hotel General Manager and department heads/supervisor to achieve excellence in employee satisfaction scores as measured through the annual employee engagement survey.

•Support performance management administration including annual performance reviews for hotel associates and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

•Maintenance of all associate files and records.

•Support all HRIS (PeopleSoft) administration and data entry needs.

•Conduct orientations and training as needed. Oversee assignments through learning management system (Schoox).

•Consistently apply company and property policy and support associate programs.

•Support all brand specific training and audits as required.

•Appropriately distribute and collect leave of absence paperwork as needed.

•Must be familiar with applicable collective bargaining agreements and relevant local labor unions.

•In conjunction with the Security Director, ensure safe practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel assisting in proper maintenance of emergency action plans and security procedures and lead Safety Committee on a monthly basis.

•Maintain all worker compensation accident records, monitor lost time accidents to reduce high costs, follow up with each employee after accidents occur and maintain workers compensation files.

•Maintain an appropriate level of community affairs involvement.

•Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

 

What we are looking for:

•Four- year college degree in related field (preferred)

•Capable of multi task and handling many situations at once

•High degree of organization and motivation

•Outgoing, professional, and positive attitude

•Ability to work independently with high level of confidence

•Ability to maintain the professionalism and confidentiality necessary in a Human Resource office

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Prior experience in Human Resources preferred

•Ability to develop relationships and establish trust and credibility

•Bi-lingual Spanish preferred
