To oversee the employment and recruitment function within the Human Resources Department.   This position will oversee the efforts for both Grand Geneva Resort and Timber Ridge Lodge. 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for recruitment and staffing including the active and timely sourcing of candidates, maintenance of job postings, extending of offers and onboarding through our ATS (Taleo).
  • Participate in the HR Leadership Development Program rotation that will allow participant to learn all funcitons of the HR discipline.
  • Partner with the Executive Committee, and operations team in support of coaching, counseling and disciplinary needs.
  • Partner with Managing Director, Resort Managers and department heads/supervisor to achieve excellence in employee satisfaction scores as measured through the annual employee opinion survey.
  • Support performance management administration including annual performance reviews for hotel associates and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Maintenance of all associate files and records.
  • Maintain the filing for Worker’s Compensation incidents and related materials including OSHA logs and other required filings.
  • Support all HRIS (PeopleSoft) administration and data entry needs.
  • Conduct orientations and training as needed. Oversee assignments through learning management system (LMS)
  • Consistently apply company and property policy and support associate programs.
  • Support all brand specific training and audits as required.
  • Appropriately distribute and collect leave of absence paperwork as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Oversee the recruitment & pre-employment process to include community engagement, sourcing, prescreening of applicants, background and reference checks, onboarding, communication, and all other aspects related.
    -Establish relationships in the community to position us as an employer of choice
  • -Attend job fairs, host job fairs, and market our positions
  • -Assist with new hire orientation for all associates. 
    - Update, post, and distribute weekly job listings
    - Work with marketing to create and ensure you post ads through all necessary means
    - Maintain requisition process
    - Offer employment for hourly new hires
    - Coordinate seasonal transfer process
    - Request computer/systems access for all applicable new hires
    - Data entry into the PeopleSoft system
    - Ensure all Associate Action Forms have appropriate signatures for processing
    - Tracking of new hires needing training
    - Filing 
    - Answer phones and inquiries
    - Type memos and other correspondence
    - Associate events as required

    Position Requirements
    - Previous experience as a manager or coordinator in Human Resources preferably in the Staffing function,
    - College degree (2 or 4 yr) preferred
    - Previous experience in a seasonal environment highly desired
    - Bilingual Spanish is preferred.
    - Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
    - Customer service minded with the ability to interact with people at various levels in the organization.
    - Must be creative, a self starter, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.  
    - Professional demeanor. 
    - Excellent communication skills to include both written and verbal.    

    Reporting Relationship  
    This position reports to the Area and Director of Human Resources.
