The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the management of the Bloomington ChopHouse, Olive Lounge, and In-Room Dining.

Responsibilities: 

  • Interview, select, train, supervise, and counsel restaurant staff for efficient operation of the outlets.
  • Organize and conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate pertinent information to the staff.
  • Ensure discipline is administered timely and fairly with HR involvement
  • Interact positively with customers promoting facilities and services through table visits. Resolve problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective associate relations.
  • Move throughout facility and kitchen areas to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
  • Administer sales promotion program and employee incentive programs.
  • Staffing of the restaurant, bar, and room service.
  • Implementing and supporting policies and procedures.
  • Assessing and reviewing the job performance of subordinates.

Requirements:

  • Previous food and beverage management/supervisory experience, fine-dining/steakhouse atmosphere preferred
  • Flexible schedule to include morning, day, and evening availability
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations and preparation techniques
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English language
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers
