 POSITION PURPOSE:  This role is a hands-on management position. The Engineering Manager will support the Director of Engineering by fulfilling assigned responsibilities and overseeing the Engineering department. In this capacity, the Engineering Manager will ensure that all building assets and equipment are well maintained with minimal downtime, handling daily maintenance and preventative projects at the hotel, and guiding fellow engineers in their tasks. This position leverages expertise to continuously enhance guest services and support systems, benefiting both internal and external customers and guests.

As our Engineering Manager, you would:

  • Provides daily Condition and Work Progress report to the Chief Engineer.
  • Supervises, directs and inspects the Engineers on a daily basis to insure their work productivity and quality meets standards and deadlines.
  • Responsible for coordination and rollout of projects as directed.
  • Interacts as needed with guests, contractors, vendors.
  • Knowledge of brand standard, service standard, SALT and met expectations.
  • Performs all assigned day-to-day maintenance and preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Assists fellow Engineers with their assigned tasks to include trouble shooting, regular maintenance and repairs.
  • Conducts regular inspections via walk-thrus of public areas, back of the house areas, guest rooms and exterior areas.
  • Performs any other reasonable job duty as assigned.

 We are looking for our next amazing property leader, who will:

·         Be able to read and interpret documents to include:  Blueprints/Schematics, Procedure manuals, OSHA standards such as Lockout/Tag Out, MSDS, etc.

·         Possess the individual ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or maintain all of the following:

Ø  Physical building to include all FF&E

Ø  A/C and refrigeration equipment

Ø  Mechanical equipment (i.e. motors, starters, pumps, fans, etc.)

Ø  Plumbing and drains

Ø  Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls

Ø  Fire Alarm and Life Safety equipment

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have the ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Possess and show analytical skills in order to be able to assess and identify problems and then implement solutions.
  • Represent the hotel and company in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Be able to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Be able to work any of the three shifts, as needed.
