We are in search of a Security Officer to join our Grand team at our 1,300 acre Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Position Purpose:  To ensure safety routines and tasks are properly completed in accordance with established property standards, also taking into consideration Local, State and Federal Laws if applicable.

 

Essential Functions:

·       Ensure resort safety functions such included but not limited to:

o   Monthly fire extinguisher inspections

o   Facilitate proactive evacuation drills and exercises

o   OSHA compliance standards

o   Manage the 3E program and proactively audit SDS compliance

o   Conduct a minimum of (5) proactive safety inspections weekly  

·       Submit and save for the permanent record all reports required of the Safety Supervisor to ensure professional accuracy and timely submission.

  • Establish and maintain an effective relationship with all department management, staff, personnel, and general public.
  • Assist with the Internal Annual Safety & Security Audit, including if necessary, facilitating or scheduling training classes & additional inspections.

·       Meet weekly with the Security Director for effective communication and goal setting.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Must possess exceptional people skills, effective writing ability, and logical thinking ability.

·       Previous experience in a safety/security role, preferably in the hospitality industry. 

·       Knowledge of safety practices.  

·       Must have a customer service mentality. 

·       Knowledge of local laws and ordinances.

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, and reach for more than half of the normal work day.  

·       Must pass MVR background check.

 

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Security Director.
