Position Purpose: Take Room Service orders accurately in a helpful, friendly courteous, and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Deliver food to guest room in quoted time frame. Return room service equipment from guest floor/public areas of hotel to appropriate dish room area in order to keep public areas presentable. Also, sort and clean tables and trays so that equipment is available for future orders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare trays and deliver to rooms
• Maintain complete guest satisfaction by maintain service standards
• Check floors to be sure all trays and carts are retrieved
• Prepare and deliver guest amentities
• Keep room service area clean
• Requisition and maintenance food supplies
• Perform side work (open, close and shift management duties)
• Pick up clean linen from laundry and return dirty linen
• Maintain clealiness, sanitation and personal hygience
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• No prior experience required
• Knowledge of the appropriate food and beverage preparations and service standards
• Knowledge of beverage and wines
• Basic knowledge of the English Language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate preparation methods. Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel
• Ability to grasp, lifts and/or carry or otherwise transport up to 50lbs
