In this role, you’ll ensure a safe, comfortable environment by maintaining hotel systems and overseeing safety and security programs to protect guests, employees, and property.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee daily engineering, painting, and carpentry work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Process daily payroll reports promptly and accurately.
  • Foster positive associate relations and address performance issues with HR support.
  • Conduct appraisals, including skills testing for engineers.
  • Lead and implement assigned projects effectively.
  • Communicate with guests, contractors, vendors, and corporate executives as needed.
  • Assist staff with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Lead safety meetings, liaise with police, maintain emergency procedures, and enforce professional standards.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Prior supervisory and/or management experience in a similar environment required. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents to include: Blueprints/Schematics, Procedural manuals, Budgets/Financial Statements, OSHA standards such as LockOut/TagOut, SDS, etc.
  • Possess ability to troubleshoot, repair and/or maintain:
    • Physical building to include all FF&E
    • A/C and refrigeration equipment
    • Electrical systems
    • Mechanical equipment (i.e. motors, starters, pumps, fans, etc.)
    • Plumbing and drains
    • Pneumatic and electronic systems and controls
    • Fire Alarm and Life Safety equipment
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have computer proficiency. 
  • Analytical skills in order to be able to assess and identify problems and then implement solutions.
  • Represent the company in a courteous and well-groomed manner.
  • Must be able to use and understand hand and power tools.
  • CPR/First Aid training required.
