At Marcus Hotels & Resorts we are always on the lookout for the next generation of talented professionals interested in exploring careers in hospitality. We collaborate with universities, colleges, and programs across the U.S. and internationally, participating in campus career fairs, hosting informational sessions, and offering a variety of opportunities to connect ambitious students and graduates with successful Marcus professionals. Areas of professional engagement include but are not limited to: Culinary Arts, Hotel & Restaurant Operations, Spa & Golf Management, Information Technology, Revenue & Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources. As a mid-size owner and operator, Marcus Hotels & Resorts offers interns, trainees and associates greater visibility and personal attention during their development. Campus Presence

Our talented Talent Acquisition and Operations team are always looking for exceptional candidates. MIT

Our Manager in Training program follows a rotational model and offers trainees the opportunity to select and explore a career in Food & Beverage, Rooms Operations or Events & Sales. During this immersive program, individuals will learn about professionalism and ethics, leadership and supervisory skills, finance and budgeting, P&L oversight and controls, and much more.

Internships

Marcus Hotels & Resorts offers a unique opportunity to personalize your internship experience. Students are placed in a department or area of interest and select additional shadowing experiences, client and leadership meetings to attend, and mentors and colleagues to assist in their short and long-term professional development.

University Partnership

At Marcus Hotels & Resorts, partnering with universities and colleges provides us with the opportunity to meet students while we give back and support the future of our industry. Some ways in which we collaborate with colleges and universities are through speaking engagements, mentorships, curriculum guidance, operational tours, student association support and case studies.
 

Early Career Outreach

At Marcus Hotels & Resorts, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact within the communities we serve. Early career outreach initiatives are just one of many ways we provide support. Our hotels work with a variety of partners including Earn & Learn, ProStart, The National Academy Foundation, Project Search, Veterans Employment Services, school districts, refugee support services, justice impacted individuals, and numerous other programs. This practice allows us to engage a diverse pool of individuals taking their first steps on a career path in hospitality.

Earn & Learn

Marcus Hotels & Resorts hosts interns through Earn & Learn a program sponsored by Employ Milwaukee designed to provide meaningful work experiences and career exposure to young adults ages 14-24 years old. These internships provide structured, well-organized, work-based learning experiences while connecting participants with mentors within our operations and corporate offices.

ProStart

Marcus Hotels & Resorts partners with ProStart, a culinary arts and restaurant management program for high school students created and supported by the National Restaurant Association. Our support includes tours, mentorship, job based learning, and other activities to support career exploration and friendly competition.

National Academy Foundation (NAF)/Milwaukee Public Schools

The National Academy Foundation or NAF offers a proven model for collaboration between community partners, employers and schools to improve outcomes for students, especially where institutional and social barriers are the most prevalent. Marcus Hotels & Resorts supports NAF Academies for Culinary, Hospitality and Information Technology studies within the Milwaukee Public School District.

Refugees

Hotels and hospitality have always supported and welcomed individuals from around the world. Supporting refugee employment, training and services is just one way Marcus Hotels & Resorts provides those in need of a fresh start with a new home, career and connection to their community.
